Our client, an established boutique architecture firm in San Francisco,  is offering competitive compensation and benefits for a talented job captain/designer to join their  small, SOMA based studio.  This is an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on design experience working collaboratively with  the design principal.

The firm has consistently produced award-winning architecture  while providing a high level of client service.  The firm' s  projects are mostly residential, ranging from additions and remodels to new construction.  A majority of the work is modernist, but at times will include traditional projects  with the mindset that good design is not exclusive to any one style.  The team is professional, friendly and motivated. Their  projects  scope and budgets  vary from from modest to robust.

Candidate should have experience with residential design and permitting, as well as the ability to represent the firm in a clear and concise manner with our clients.  Technical skills and the ability to produce presentation quality graphics are essential.

The successful candidate for this position will assist the Principal Architect on multiple projects in various stages of completion. As new projects come into the office, he or she will assist the Principal Architect with design and assume responsibility for the development of working drawings and permit processing under his direction.

We hire articulate, professional, well-rounded applicants who exhibit a can-do attitude and display a high aptitude for design.

Responsibilities:
  • Interacting with clients, staff and consultants to successfully design and execute projects
  • Produce presentation, permit and construction drawings, including details in AutoCAD
