Job Description

Our client, an established San Francisco Environmental Graphic Design firm, designs wayfinding and signage systems and interior graphic environments for a variety of markets and public institutions. The primary work product is specialized design and construction drawings for custom sign fabrication, and includes architectural plans describing signage and wayfinding systems with corresponding sign schedules.
We are seeking a Revit Designer/Drafter to work with fixed, ftp-based file systems used by architectural firms for constructing large-scale architectural projects. Job tasks include assembling base plans with complex external reference structures, creating diagrammatic sign locations in CAD; Modeling and sign type families in Revit; Coordinating with Architect for linked model backgrounds for signage model setup. Our work process requires importing files and images from the MAC platform, and setting up sheet files, plot files and pen settings to meet the job specifications. Also required are skills for working with our internal PC/Mac server and our system for file use and archiving. A thorough understanding of the structure of construction drawing sets for large-scale architectural projects is necessary, as well as a familiarity with project phases from schematic design through construction documentation.
Troubleshooting skills, positive attitude and flexibility are necessary, as is a willingness to learn CAD needs specific to the Environmental Graphic Design discipline. 
Knowledge of AutoCAD; file maintenance is required.
